Intro Blog

 Hello, Welcome to me Media Studies Blog! This will be a journey and an experience to learn to incorporate all my film ideas into real life. As well as learn everything that comes with filming. You will be seeing my thoughts about film making and experience through out my process. I am Nila Lewis, I am a senior in High School. I am 18 years ago that is originally from Turkey and moved down here for middle school and so fourth. I'm a creative person, that loves art as well. I love listening to music, my friends and i love to go on drives with the music on in the car, it keeps us relaxed and takes our mind off of things that may have stressed us out. I like walking on the beach. Especially as the sun sets. I also love waking up an hour early before school with friends and watching the sunrise. As this also wakes me up for the school day. I feel as when I do this before school it gives me a better attitude for the day and I walk in a better mood to start off my day.

 Sunday Morning - Maroon 5.  cams: In the beginning of the music video you also notice lots of close-up shots. Such as a close up of a females eye. As well, as while he is singing. They cut into a close up to him singing. They switch from close-ups and medium shot.  editing: This video also gives an amazing example of cross cutting. Such as cutting from him singing on stage, to the audiences dancing towards the music  sound: They used a voice- over. especially  on the parts with the audience dancing, or he is dancing on stage.  Mis-en scene-: In the beginning of the music video you can notice they used props, such as inserting a disk into a player. My Pitch

Pitch A- Flickering Christmas lights all over the desk as the wind blows the pages of the book to a specific page that has words that contribute to something later on.  Pitch B- A man who won't show his face observes a woman with red heels through her living room window on Christmas morning. Discuss Pitch A- Showing the words on the page of the book gives the opening sequence suspense and plot. I would like to make this opening sequence as I could have this set up simply at my house. With the Christmas lights showing I could have this movie idea turn in any direction I would like to.  Discuss Pitch B- I would like to create this film because it creates a little suspense on who this man is and the relation of this man to this woman. Also, the red shoes are incorporated into this film. Is the man watching the woman or the red heels? As well as the reason for his pen and paper. Title Research: Bones

 The opening Title Sequence to the movie Bones. The letters are creepy and the opening sequence starts off with two men with coats and sunglasses. As this was an idea I had wanted to add to my opening sequence I love how this opening sequence interpreted it. The letters were shown and were creepy, the men were giving people money, but they gave a creepy and suspicious aspect. With also editing tools, the screen glitches up giving off a scary sense to the audience. I loved how this opening sequence went about, as this was not a classic horror opening title sequence.
