Genre Research: Chosen Genre

 I have chosen the genre, horror, as horror can be creepy and give a little mystery. Horror reflects social worries and the fears people have. Horror explores the nature of evil and the minds of the people with a life of crime. The genre Horror could be a comedy, romantic, violent, or depressing. As I have all these options for my movie. Horror movies can be as creative as the writer wishes, as anything can be added to horror. With horror, I can end my opening sequence keeping the audience with a mystery or giving them a little imagination. Horror is my favorite type of genre of movie to watch, to create this with creativity can become very fun.

My Pitch

Pitch A- Flickering Christmas lights all over the desk as the wind blows the pages of the book to a specific page that has words that contribute to something later on.  Pitch B- A man who won't show his face observes a woman with red heels through her living room window on Christmas morning. Discuss Pitch A- Showing the words on the page of the book gives the opening sequence suspense and plot. I would like to make this opening sequence as I could have this set up simply at my house. With the Christmas lights showing I could have this movie idea turn in any direction I would like to.  Discuss Pitch B- I would like to create this film because it creates a little suspense on who this man is and the relation of this man to this woman. Also, the red shoes are incorporated into this film. Is the man watching the woman or the red heels? As well as the reason for his pen and paper. Title Research: Bones

 The opening Title Sequence to the movie Bones. The letters are creepy and the opening sequence starts off with two men with coats and sunglasses. As this was an idea I had wanted to add to my opening sequence I love how this opening sequence interpreted it. The letters were shown and were creepy, the men were giving people money, but they gave a creepy and suspicious aspect. With also editing tools, the screen glitches up giving off a scary sense to the audience. I loved how this opening sequence went about, as this was not a classic horror opening title sequence.
