Title Research: Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Image
This opening sequence is the "Killer Klowmn from Outer Space" from the website, "ArtofTitle". The opening sequence starts off with creepy music as well as laughing. Starting off with the presentations, the writers, and the starring people. With the background dark and the letters glowing blue switching to dropping red. This gave me a feeling of the creeps. The music then switches to an upbeat that gives a sense of warming and a 2000 party song. As they show a few funny clips. They opening sequence gives a little of an introduction to the starring characters, showing the rudeness of the cops, and the tension between cops and civilians.

Title Research: Bones

Image
The opening Title Sequence to the movie Bones. The letters are creepy and the opening sequence starts off with two men with coats and sunglasses. As this was an idea I had wanted to add to my opening sequence I love how this opening sequence interpreted it. The letters were shown and were creepy, the men were giving people money, but they gave a creepy and suspicious aspect. With also editing tools, the screen glitches up giving off a scary sense to the audience. I loved how this opening sequence went about, as this was not a classic horror opening title sequence.

Title Research: American Horror Story

Image
I got this Title Sequence from "Art of the Title". The American Horror Story Title opening sequence goes through many light flashes and cut clips. To show moments that will happen during the movie. This opening sequence shows the creepiness of the movie to get people excited. They used glitch edits to give a scary effect. They used multiple effects that have given me good inspiration and creative ideas to take into consideration. The opening sequences also included zoom-ins into objects around a creepy dark house. The opening cut into a black screen for credits in creepy letters.

The websites I decided to use for my research for my title designs are the websites, "Art of the Title". "Art of Title" is an online publication specifically toward sequence design, and title design. "Watch the Title" is another site, this site shows hundreds of creatively designed title sequences. Having the most popular title resources.  I have decided to search through these sites as inspiration, and more creative ideas. I can see these sites as useful for my ideas for my own title design sequence. The site, "Art of the Title" has more horror title sequences at first glance, as this is the genre I am going for. I can get more insight specifically on title sequences for my ideas.

Planning Blog: Title design

Title Design The opening credits to my film will appear as a person is walking horizontally on camera. It will look as if the words are following the person behind them as to fit the plot of a stalker following the main character in my film. They will be in a bolded-italicized white ' Macando ' font ( Just like this style ) to fit the dark setting of the film and will take up the majority of the screen for 3-4 seconds before the scene switches to a girl being followed by a stalker with a camera and notepad. The working title for my film will likely be " Skulker ". The credits for my film will most likely appear in a black ' Permanent Marker' font ( Just like this ) and will appear highlighted on the notepad that the stalker in the film is writing in about the person they are following. They will appear for 2-3 seconds as the stalker is flipping through his notepad. The rest of the notes that the stalker is writing will not be highlighted as to give more atten
