 Today I researched about editing applications as well as the usages of these applications. "Megisto" has been the new application for editing my music video. This app provides formatting for your videos, templates, styles, titles and music. My plan is to use this app for the title and style for my music video. I am also thinking to use Imovie as well once again. I was thinking to add the music through Imovie. I had my friend video himself as if he was talking on the phone, as me on the other line. I used his video to start off the music video as the conversational lyrics started coming through. The videos were a bit complicated to cut in clips nicely. However it worked out. I used Imovie for this, to be able to cut through clips. 

 Hello! Today was a productive production day, however did decide to add something to all the scenes of this music video. I have decided to have telephone scenes. Telephone scenes where one of my friends and I talk through the phone and switching between clips of me and clips of them talking through the phone. The reason for the added telephone scenes was because since the song by Bruno Mars, "Leave the door open" The song is two people having a conversation mostly throughout the song. So adding the telephone scenes throughout the music video on the conversational lyrics can not only allow smoother transitions, but also seem more organized. This will go along with the music video perfectly. Adding the telephone scenes wont change up the scenes I have already done or planned for. Such as the sunset beginning is still connected in the beginning of the video.   

Hello! Today was a productive day with my production, my friends and I made the first couple scenes of my music video.  I have chosen the song " Leave The Door Open" by Bruno Mars, I have chosen this song because Bruno Mars is a popular pop star, it is family appropriate, and he is loved by many of the population. As well as his music and his music videos can become comical. Today, My friend and I have made the first scene of this video. The scene shows the sunset above the water at a park. My friends and I love to come to this park, it has a beautiful scene for the water and the pretty sky. So coming here to video was perfect, the scene then starts moving the camera slowly towards my friend and I having the conversation as the song goes. since the song has conversational lyrics. Since we are showing the sunset on the water, we are using high angles for the first scene. Since the entire song is a conversational, the plan is to have the entire music video go with the lyrics of

Since I'm doing the song "Leave the door open" by Bruno Mars, Anderson, Paak, Silk Sonic Scene 1: To start off the movie, with a scenery, such as a sunset on the water.  Scene 2: This scene will be straight from a scenery of the sunset then just moves to a conversation between two people. Since this is how the song starts off with.  Scene 3: My friend and I, will be reenacting the part of the character being in the robe relaxing. as the song says "sipping in a robe"  Scene 4: My friend and I will be showing a clean house as the song says "My house clean" My friend will also show us at the pool hanging out as the song says "the pool water warm"  Scene 5: We will be dancing as the song describes the characters dancing, the song then says "In this mansion" the video will then zoom out and show the house.  Scene 6: My friend and I will have a video clip of opening the door as the song says "Leave the door open"

 Props: The props that I will be using will be, a telephone, a robe, a glass cup.  Location: This will be located in an car, at a park and at a home.   Schedule: During the week after school will be the most hours I would be putting into this video, since most of the days during the weekend i will be working.  Back-up plan: If I don't have enough time during the week i will be doing some of it at work, and change the setting to this.  Costumes: I will be wearing colors and more on the comfortable side outfit. I will also be wearing a robe in one scene of the music video. And that should match the vibe of the video and music. 

 Sunday Morning - Maroon 5.  cams: In the beginning of the music video you also notice lots of close-up shots. Such as a close up of a females eye. As well, as while he is singing. They cut into a close up to him singing. They switch from close-ups and medium shot.  editing: This video also gives an amazing example of cross cutting. Such as cutting from him singing on stage, to the audiences dancing towards the music  sound: They used a voice- over. especially  on the parts with the audience dancing, or he is dancing on stage.  Mis-en scene-: In the beginning of the music video you can notice they used props, such as inserting a disk into a player.  Hello, Welcome to me Media Studies Blog! This will be a journey and an experience to learn to incorporate all my film ideas into real life. As well as learn everything that comes with filming. You will be seeing my thoughts about film making and experience through out my process. I am Nila Lewis, I am a senior in High School. I am 18 years ago that is originally from Turkey and moved down here for middle school and so fourth. I'm a creative person, that loves art as well. I love listening to music, my friends and i love to go on drives with the music on in the car, it keeps us relaxed and takes our mind off of things that may have stressed us out. I like walking on the beach. Especially as the sun sets. I also love waking up an hour early before school with friends and watching the sunrise. As this also wakes me up for the school day. I feel as when I do this before school it gives me a better attitude for the day and I walk in a better mood to start off my day. 

 Hello, I have decided to this Music Video assignment by myself, Nila Lewis. For the reason being i have full creativity and flexibility with time. I have decided to use the song "Nurses Office" by "Melanie Martines". This reason i chose this song is because i like the song, as well as its about being at school. I would feel as if it would be fun and easier to have films in school for this video, as it suits perfectly. I could incorporate everyday moments during school as well into the video. I feel like Melanie Martines has such a nice and different style from so many other artists. I love her style and the way she makes her music as well as her videos. She has a very creative mindset as well. Which i inspire from a lot.
