The opening sequence will not have music playing to embrace the ambient sounds of the environment. With the clack of the females heels against the rocky trail, the rumble as the motorcycle raves to life following by the beaming light of the motorcycle facing the female walking down. Music enters with a flashback The first song selected is the song "Insane in the Brain" by Cypress Hill, the initial 20 seconds of the song would be utilized as it synchronizes with the flashback, the tempo will be edited to be slowed down to harmonize the scenes environment. As the next song that will be channeled into this opening sequence is the song, " The End" by JPOLND. as this song is very slow, soft as it gradually beats up. This song is beautiful and I love the voice of the female which will be heard in the film to emphasize the specific moments of the opening sequence.
Costumes! As I feel the outfits of characters can show the interpreted next scene. So I had made sure the outfits were how the story was going to end. We had to find thin heels and a red dress to show up in the dark scenery. The outfit of the man needed to be thick black clothing with black shades to give off the suspicious look. As my two friends and I made sure to get what we needed. As well as props, props being a motorcycle for the chase, a motorcycle helmet. As the helmet covers the face of the individual riding the bike, the helmet stays on even without the motorcycle scenes so the face is unseen throughout the opening sequence. The setting of the film in the beginning scene is outside during night hours walking down a street. As the street leads to an old church.
As I had some help from my friend who is very good when it comes to electronics, he had helped me get the transitions I wanted for my opening horror sequence. Crafting my own horror opening sequence involves attention to detail, and a key understanding of a storytelling. One part of the film is when the motorcycle rumbles to come to life, and the light turned on the entire screen will then turn white from the motorcycles light, this will lead to a flashback. As this is to also show an idea of the story that the opening sequence is trying to portray, as well as keeping the viewers on the edge. I loved to experiment with sound design, as I slowed the tempo of the musics, or elevated the clicks of the heels from the female walking down the street. The unsettling sound effects to immerse the audience with the film of suspense.
